Creative Toys (from Dalí)

Dalí is a project that I started motivated by the book THINKERTOYS by M. Michalko with the idea of ​​developing an application to support creativity based on some of the techniques proposed in this wonderful book. After studying the tools, I entered a long-standing informal investigation into the domain of creativity in general first, then focusing on the advertising and design sectors. At the same time, I was recording everything in the Squeak environment itself, which was supposed to support the development of a software tool (which I have not developed yet).

In this way I extended (cultivated?) The environment to accommodate my research and I realized that it had become not a tool, but a creative MEDIUM! Maybe I had fulfilled my goal (although I still think I have to shape it). Extensions that were useful to me include the semantic analysis of information external to the image (papers in PDF) with graphs, and various browsers (analogous to the employees in development) to show the "agile" semantic network embedded in the environment. However, the idea of ​​having "instruments" is strong, for example one case is that of a browser that parses textual information on creative processes and displays it in a graphic / structured way. The ideas of "boundary object" and "Innovation Templates" are paths that I have yet to explore.

In the current state, I came to use Dalí as a repository / personal mentor in the occasional Master CTS practical, and with a couple of consulting clients on process improvement, and as a source of consultation on the subject.
