IMPROVEKIT

Presentations

You will find here presentations and videos about Zeppelin application showing main functions and the look&feel.

Several of them correspond to different stages of development (perhaps the interface of the latest version is now somewhat different) but I include them because the concept remains the same, and I also consider that they are a good example of the incremental evolution of an organic nature typical of the software made in Smaltalk

Lean indicators

(In spanish)

CONTENTS

Indicadores Lean (Lean metrics)

Modelo (Model, now migrated from SQL to Smalltalk)

Librería (Library)

Patrones de Actividad (Activity Patterns)

Stack (now Story)

Morphs

(UI in spanish)

It shows how Morphs can be quickly obtained on the desktop from a library pointer and its complete set of options (vocabulary) that acts as a translator for the different user roles of this object designed as a "boundary object" that allows sharing and generate situated knowledge

(UI in spanish)

It shows the trend panels related to any indicator: these are the organizational consolidated, weekly (if it exists), and its trends (linear or of another type, the one with the best fit)

Demos

Improvekit.app

(audio in spanish)

Una de las primeras presentaciones… como prueba de concepto completas (denominada “improvekit.app”). Varios de los conceptos de Zeppelin ya estaban presentes, aunque cambió mucho la UI y el objetivo de algunas herramientas

A proof of concept (called “improvekit.app”). Several of Zeppelin's concepts were already present, although the UI and the purpose of some tools changed a lot.

Stack (now Story)

This video shows an example of composing a Stack with several indicators and pages with morphs and other graphical objects. The Stack was thought of as a presentation, with a UI similar to a PDF with an automatic summary panel, which was later extended to the Story, which goes beyond a presentation, towards an argument whose main new conceptual object is the Activity Pattern.

Performance has been substantially improved, and the UI has been refined.
